Research and Development

Introduction

We create hardware and software tools to help you prototype, scale, and manage your products. Over the years we have gathered extensive knowledge and hands on experience in both hardware and software fields, using mainly microcontroller devices from Microchip Technology Inc, boosted with strong and reliable firmware coding using high level compilers.

Developing primarily for the vending area, industrial automation and wireless communication systems, we design tailored solutions for our clients.

PCB Layout Service

PCB layout services are provided by our team of highly skilled expert designers. We can support all major design tools available and work hand in hand with the engineer and manufacturing facilities to ensure the highest quality design is provided. We are your support team to help you meet your demanding schedules and technical requirements.

Prototypes

We manufacture all proto's in-house with our automated assembly machines that can manipulate modern electronics component packages. Our equipment allows us to develop new prototypes quickly and to make small manufacturing runs that would otherwise be prohibitively expensive. Because of this flexibility, we are able to offer (and deliver!) customized versions of our products quickly and economically.

Firmware Development

Gevo Engineering provide firmware development for microprocessor-based embedded electronic controls for OEMs. We are actively working on, developing for, and supporting many different platforms, from user's industry standard ones to custom solutions. Over the years we have gathered extensive knowledge and hands on experience in software fields, using mainly micro controller devices from Microchip Technology Inc, boosted with strong and reliable firmware coding using high level compilers.

Connectivity and Networking

Sensors

MMI (man-machine interface)

EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility)

EMC (Electro Magnetic Compatibility) is the study of the unintentional generation and reception of electromagnetic energy with a goal being the correct operation, in the same environment, of different electrical and electronic equipment which involve electromagnetic phenomena in their operation. EMC Emissions is related to the reduction in the unintentional generation of electromagnetic energy, EMC Susceptibility or Immunity refers to the correct operation of electrical and electronic equipment in the presence of electromagnetic disturbances.

ESD (Electro Static Discharges)

ESD (Electro Discharge Simulator) is used to simulate in a repeatable manner the real world ESD events which occur everday during a product life-time. These ESD events can cause many types of failures in a piece of electronic equipment to occur such as loss of memory, erroneous operation, destruction of sensitive components etc.

CE Marking

The CE marking certifies that a product has EU consumer safety, health or environmental requirements. By affixing the CE marking to a product, the manufacturer – on his sole responsibility – declares that it meets EU safety and health and environmental requirements.
